Why Love Valley Charter High School?
"Business and Community Partners should love Valley Charter High School because of the unique opportunities the school offers. Valley Charter offers exceptional curriculum in small classes to support student success and the opportunity to be dual enrolled at Modesto Junior College and earn credits toward high school graduation and MJC degrees. The curriculum includes a Theater Arts pathway that provides teaching and training in performing arts such as dance and choreography, acting, singing, and theater production. VCHS also offers Robotics and Video Game Design, both of which incorporate coding. Video Game Design requires students to learn and apply skills that vary in complexity and creativity. Robotics class gives the students experience in robot design, programming, and hands-on building of functioning robots.
My name is Jesse Verduzco and I am the Career Navigator for SCOE. I grew up in Stanislaus County and was the first in my extended family to obtain a bachelor’s degree. My employment history has focused on community agencies such Central Valley Opportunity Center, Merced Human Services Agency and now Stanislaus County Office of Education. I am grateful to be able to give back to the community by assisting young students find direction in their future educational goals."
