Craig
Orona
Craig is the President & CEO for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County and has been in
his current role since 2019. He has over 30 years of experience working in education and non-
profit management. His professional career includes being a program director for the YMCA of
San Diego County, a high school administrator, planning coordinator for Stanislaus County
Office of Education, Director of Marketing & Fund Development at Sierra Vista Child & Family
Services, as well as co-owner and CEO of ActivAlliances, Inc.
Craig’s experience includes youth development and leadership, program
development/management, fund/resource development, volunteer management/ development,
event planning, fiscal/budget management, community relations, marketing, workforce
readiness, and organizational leadership. Craig earned his Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies
with an emphasis in Education from San Diego State University and Master in Business
Administration from California State University, Stanislaus.
Craig is happily married to his wife Stephanie, and they have two sons. Outside of his work, he
stays busy with spending time with family and friends, enjoys attending music concerts, enjoys
traveling with his family, and gives back to his community by being involved in the Modesto
Sunrise Rotary Club, and a variety of community initiatives and projects, such as Stanislaus
2030 and Cradle to Career just to name a few.
Why did you choose to be a board member of LSC?
I believe in the mission and have always felt that each one of us has a responsibility to engage in our community and help in some capacity for the greater good.
What do you love most about being on the LSC board?
Working on a regular basis with like-minded individuals who have the passion and commitment to help our community, especially supporting the youth.
What do you love most about living in Stanislaus County?
In my experience, this County/City have a strong sense of community. I have found out over the years, if you ask people for help, they are willing to get involved.
In what ways do you participate in the community?
In addition to my current role at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County, I am very active in Modesto Sunrise Rotary, various County initiatives such as Stanislaus 2030 and Cradle to Career, as well volunteer for a variety of community projects.
