There are over 800 kids in foster care in Stanislaus County.
Every number has a name.
Every name has a story.
The Kids Program is dedicated to making sure children throughout Stanislaus County feel loved. Our main focus is on supporting children in foster care and resource families as well as educating the public on how they can best support youth in the foster care system.

The Kids Program works directly with County Child Welfare to identify the specific needs of foster children and their families. With this list of needs, we have inspired hundreds of community members who have stepped up to help. Through this framework, we have been able to keep birth families together and children out of the system which ultimately increases the health of these kids overall.
By becoming a Resource Parent, you will partner with Stanislaus County Child Welfare, to provide both short term and long term care for a child in need. Whether you are interested in foster care of adoption, the process is now the same. The first step is to attend Orientation to learn more about the program.
"Without the Kids Program, I would have nothing. I would still be gathering items for my home and my family in order to reunify. I feel very blessed."
