heart 2 heart awards

In 2021, Love Stanislaus County teamed up with DeHart, Plumbing, Heating & Air to recognize the above and beyond contributions of residents of Stanislaus County that are rooted in giving, loving and making a difference.   

Nominees, finalists and winners are recognized in May at the Heart 2 Heart Awards Ceremony in May each year.  

 

All nominees receive a letter of acknowledgement and a certificate.  

 

Finalists are recognized on Love Stanislaus County’s social media and website. 

 

The winners of each award are announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards Ceremony and receive the Heart 2 Heart trophy for the category they are nominated for.

City of the year

The LSC City of the Year is awarded to the city who shows love to their community through hosting volunteer events and activities.  

 

Nominations:

  • To be eligible cities must have hosted a volunteer day in April in collaboration with LSC.

  • Our committee reviews all applications and selects five finalists.  

  • The award recipient is announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards ceremony.

Citizen of the year

The LSC Citizen of the Year is awarded to an individual who displays their love of the community through their personal and professional service in the community.  

 

Nominations:

  • In March of each year Love Stanislaus County opens nominations for Citizen of the Year.  Residents of Stanislaus County have the opportunity to nominate a person through our application process. 

  • Nominees must have been active in the community.

  • Our committee reviews all applications and selects five finalists.  The award recipient is announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards ceremony.

Nominations:

  • In March of each year Love Stanislaus County nominations for Volunteer of the Year.  Chairpersons from each city in Stanislaus County that hosted a volunteer day have the opportunity to nominate a person through our application process.

  • Stanislaus County residents have the opportunity to nominate a person through our application process.

  • Our committee reviews all applications and selects five finalists.  The award recipient is announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards ceremony.

Education Awards

The LSC School, Administrator, Teacher and Classified Professional of the Year awards are given to schools and individuals in recognition of encouraging students to be active as volunteers on campus and off, showing great school spirit, and going above and beyond to serve students.

Nominations:

  • In March of each year Love Stanislaus County opens nominations for all school awards.  

  • All Principals (or their designee) of every school in Stanislaus County have the opportunity to nominate their school, an administrator, teacher, and classified professional through our application process.

  • Our committee reviews all applications and selects five finalists.  The award recipient is announced at the Heart 2 Heart Awards ceremony.

In January of 2021, the efforts of Love Our Neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic were recognized by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber awarded Love Stanislaus County with the COVID-19 Resiliency Award.

In 2020, the efforts of Love Stanislaus County’s work were recognized by Assemblyman Heath Flora. The California State Assembly recognized Love Stanislaus County as Non-Profit Organization of the Year.
