Jonathon Wren
Website Specialist
Jon is the Website Specialist for Love Modesto and Love Our Cities. He joined the team in late 2021 after serving with Love Snoqualmie Valley.
Jon was born in Bakersfield, but grew up in Phoenix, AZ. Feeling a call to ministry at a young age, God grabbed hold of him early. He attend Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) and studied Philosophy of Religion in Nampa. His ministry began as a Youth Pastor in Kirkland, WA and transitioned to Lead Pastor in Snoqualmie, WA. In addition to ministry, Jon started his own design business that contracts specifically with churches and non-profits, providing affordable and effective design and website solutions. Currently, Jon serves full-time as the Lead Pastor of Bakersfield First Church of the Nazarene in California.
What is your role at Love Stanislaus County?
I serve as the Website Specialist for Love Stanislaus County. This work entails creating organizational content through graphic design and overseeing all of Love Stanislaus County’s software and websites.
What do you love the most about your job?
I love the chance to invest in real people doing real ministry in their communities. Being able to help empower people and provide powerful design and website solutions to make your job easier is what I am all about!
What do you love most about living in Stanislaus County?
I don't currently live in Stanislaus County, but close by in Kern County. I see the powerful connection and community Stanislaus County has and excited to develop that culture here in Bakersfield.
In what ways do you participate in the community?
I serve as the lead pastor of Bakersfield First Church of the Nazarene and constantly invest in many ways through our church ministries, partnering with other local organizations, and above all empowering people to invest in their neighborhoods and community in real ways.
