Why did you choose to be a board member of LSC?
I have been involved in community work all my professional career. I believe
in uplifting the voices of organizations and individuals actively working on
bringing resources to Stanislaus County to make it a place we’re proud to call
home. This organization is all about Love for our community and neighbors,
and I’m grateful that I get to bring another perspective to the table.
What do you love most about being on the LSC board?
That I can bring a unique perspective to the table. Our community has unique
voices and perspectives and I’m happy that I get to share mine. With my
current (and previous) role, I am privileged to be able to listen to our
community wants and needs and I think that will be a positive for the board as we continue to serve our community.
What do you love most about living in Stanislaus County?
I love the sense of community. The fact that although sometimes negativity is
louder, the organizations and individuals actively working on making our
community better, far outweigh the negative. My husband and I chose to stay
in Stanislaus County and are raising a family here because we have a great
community, with great people.
In what ways do you participate in the community?
Professionally, I’ve worked with some of our most disinvested communities
and will continue to collaborate with other community leaders and
organizations to provide resources to our neighbors. Personally, I’m part of
and have been part of other great nonprofit organizations as well as
volunteering for different events in my different capacities.
